8-12-06 Danny Moody sets new Timp Speed Record
On Saturday morning’s Sojourners group run, Danny Moody set the all time speed record to the top of timp. He ran from the timponooke trailhead to the Summit Register in an astonishing 1:15:36. Unbelievable!
8-12-06 Kris Lawson and Kim Rowberry Dominate!
Kris Lawson and Marie Glahn were 1st and 2nd overall at the Provo River 1/2 Marathon and Ron Greenwood was 2nd overall male. Way to go guys! Also Kim Rowberry won the Lindon Days 5k and Joe Bendoski was a close second to National Steeplechase Champion Josh McAdams and Golden Harper was 2nd place at the Jupiter Peak 16 mile Steeplechase.

8-2-06 Danny Moody & Golden Harper set the all time fastest ascent speed record to the top of Mt. Nebo today with a time of 1:06:13 from the North Peak trailhead. (See www.mountaintrials.com)

Runner’s Corner Racing Team Wins Wasatch Back Relay!
The Runner’s Corner Racing Team, crushed the competition winning the mixed (male and female) division of the Wasatch Back Relay. In fact, only the Weber and BYU all men’s collegiate Cross Country teams finished ahead of the Runner’s Corner team. The squad: Devra Vierkant, Heidi Houle, Chelsea Mckell, Lisa Pratt, Heidi Pestana, Kim Rowberry, Golden Harper, Brandon Hebbert, Danny Moody, Devin Moody, Mike Vick, and Brian Beckstead.
Recent Club Member Accomplishments: Chelsea McKell continues to roll through the road circuit racking up 1st place overall victories at The Homestead Golden 15k, Salt Lake City 5k, and the Strawberry Days 5K. Let’s also not forget Kris Lawson who accomplished a long time goal of winning the Nestle Art City Days 5k and who just won the Alaska Marathon! Devra Vierkant and Lisa Pratt have also been turning in very strong performances! Devra just won the Bryce Canyon 1/2 Marathon with a 1:14! Lisa just won the Deseret News 10k! As far as the men’s, check out what the Runner’s Corner employees are doing: Joe Bendoski is winning just about everything he enters, including Nestle Art City Days, Orem Summerfest 5k, Draper Days, and Speedy Spaniard 10k. Danny Moody is representing with a first place finish at the Homestead 15k, 4th place at Art City Days 5k, and another first place finish at the Strawberry Days 5k along with a win at the Xterra Snowbird Scramble 10k and 2nd at the Xterra Mountain View Scramble 10k. Congrats to Brian Beckstead for his 3rd place at the Homestead 15k and his 10th place finish at his debut 50 miler, the Squaw Peak 50 with a time of 9 hours and 20 minutes – Wow! Also, Golden Harper racking up a few with his win at the Homestead 5k, 3rd place at Art City Days, 3rd place at the Trail Runner Trophy Series Wahsatch Steeplechase 17.5 miler, 2nd at the Mountain Challenge 10k and a win at the Xterra Mountain View Scramble 5k. Congrats to the Runner’s Corner-Sojourners Racing Team.
