The huge trophies from Schutzenfest

The annual Blue Boar Inn Schutzenfest 5k put on by club member Mark Nelson was run this weekend and several members of the club placed well.  Devin Moody (who works at Runner’s Corner) won the race for the men’s overall, way to go!  Hawk, Cheryl, and Summer Harper all won their respective age divisions.  Also, congratulations to all club members who participated in the Top of Utah Marathon this weekend!  Of special note was Kris Lawson and Chelsea McKell placing 2nd and 3rd overall, respectively as well as Val Gearhart winning her age division.

Now that the annual Sojourners Hope to Hobble run is over, that means there is less than a month until the St. George Marathon! (Even less until Top of Utah) Make sure you’ve got a fresh pair of shoes for the race and know which gels, etc. you are going to use. Better now than 2 days before the race! The Hope to Hobble run was great as always. Devra Vierkant was in fine form and beating up on the boys. Good luck to everyone in your marathon preparation.
